Allan Chou (Chou Sen-Lin)
Entrepreneur | Industrialist | Property Developer

Allan Chou, born in Taipei, Taiwan, has spent the majority of his life in Ghana, where he has resided for over 45 years. On February 18, 2010, he was officially granted Ghanaian citizenship under the Citizenship Regulation, 2001 (LI 1690). His career is marked by a strong legacy of entrepreneurship, spanning manufacturing, real estate, mining, and international trade.

In 1982, Allan founded Trio Courage Ltd., a limited liability company incorporated under Ghana’s Company Code 1963 (Act 179). The company gained national recognition for producing Poki, a popular local food drink, and for its activities in import and export. Under his leadership, the company expanded into other strategic sectors.

Recognizing the need for industrial growth, Allan launched Wahome Steel Ltd. in 1987, with support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. Located in Tema’s heavy industrial area, Wahome Steel quickly became one of the largest producers of iron rods in Ghana and West Africa. Allan served as Managing Director from 1987 to 1995 and as Board Chairman until his retirement from the company in 2000.

In 1998, he established Meridian Metal Materials Ltd. in Accra’s south industrial zone. The company specialized in nail manufacturing and imported wire rods from Germany to supply domestic producers of nails and rebar.

Allan has also made significant strides in real estate and land development. He owns a 24.3-acre site near the Tema Motorway Roundabout and is currently collaborating with a South African investor to develop a state-of-the-art shopping mall.

His ventures expanded into mining in 2010 with the creation of A & M Mining Company Ltd., a licensed gold exploration and export business. The company works closely with both Chinese and Ghanaian experts and is affiliated with the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC). A & M Mining also offers consulting and logistical support to other mining operations and maintains active relationships with major stakeholders, including the Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Chinese African Development Fund.

Since 1997, Allan has also operated A & M Development Co. Ltd., overseeing various property assets such as commercial complexes, warehouses, residential buildings, and mixed-use developments.

Driven by a deep-rooted family legacy of entrepreneurship, Allan Chou continues to bridge international business ties between Taiwan, Ghana, and the United States—building on decades of innovation, resilience, and leadership.
